Bear Ridge Vineyard

Bear Ridge Vineyard is a family-owned winery located just 15 minutes west of Edmonton that is popular for its award-winning fruit wines and meads. In addition, they also do red and white grape wines besides their signature raspberry & rhubarb wines. The rustic tasting room is open year-round for tastings and offers picturesque views of the vineyard
Chateau Louis 
Chateau Louis, situated at the southeast of Edmonton, is a winery which prides itself in making premium fruit wines and liqueurs using ingredients sourced locally. These include such classics as strawberry rhubarb and apricot, and more unique flavors like chocolate raspberry port or pumpkin pie liqueur. The winery conducts tours and tastings from Wednesday to Sunday. Their products can also be found in select liquor stores around Edmonton.

Sundial Winery

Just off Highway 16, Sundial Winery is conveniently located family-owned vineyard that produces grape wine and fruit wine with locally grown inputs. They have chokecherry, raspberry, and cranberry orange marmalade among others as their fruit wines. The facility’s tasting room operates seasonally for tours, tastings, and sales purposes. Their wines are also available for sale at farmers markets and selective liquor stores in Edmonton.

Located in the heart of Old Strathcona, Strathcona Spirits is Edmonton’s first craft distillery. Pop in for a tasting and sample their lineup of gins, vodkas, and liqueurs. Their signature gin features locally-sourced botanicals like juniper, coriander and rosemary. Sip your spirit of choice in their cozy tasting lounge or grab a bottle to go.

Hansen Distillery

Hansen Distillery has been producing fine craft spirits since 2006. They make a variety of gins, vodkas, rums and whiskies using high quality, locally-sourced ingredients. Take a guided tour to learn about their distillation process, then head to the tasting bar where you can sample all their award-winning spirits. Their classic gin features notes of juniper and citrus, while their maple whisky provides a taste of Canada.

Eau Claire Distillery

Eau Claire Distillery is Alberta’s first organic distillery, located just 15 minutes from downtown Edmonton. Using ingredients from their own farm and other local sources, Eau Claire produces small-batch gins, vodkas, rums and whiskies. Book a Mixology & Distillery Tour to craft custom cocktails with their spirits, or drop in for tasting flights any day of the week. Their Parlour Gin, flavored with botanicals like rosemary, lavender and sage, is not to be missed.

With this booming craft distillery scene, Edmonton is a mecca for spirit enthusiasts. Take your pick from the plethora of gins, vodkas, rums and whiskies being distilled right in our own backyard. Beer Lovers Rejoice! Must-Visit Breweries in Edmonton

Edmonton has witnessed a sudden growth of the craft beer movement in the recent past, with numerous microbreweries springing up all over the city. These amazing local breweries are worth visiting if you love beer.

Situated in an old fire hall, Situation Brewing specializes on conventional European-style ales. You can try their famous Situation Ale, a mild pale ale or one of their different seasonal collections. They often come up with unique brews to be matched by collaborating with restaurants.

When looking for audacious and avant-garde beers, go to Bent Stick Brewing. This place is famous for its special brews like oyster stout made from raw oysters and smoked porter that tastes like bacon and maple syrup. Bent Stick also regularly organizes comedy nights, live music alongside being a venue for beer education.

If you are fond of lighter beers you can visit Campio Brewing. Their focus is on classic styles such as pilsners, kolsches, and wheat beers. The relaxed atmosphere tasting room and outdoor deck would be ideal for a sunny day out. For those drivers who will not indulge in alcohol drinks, Campio offers non-alcoholic beverages including sodas and cocktails.

Then again if history fascinates you; Alley Kat Brewing is your best bet since it’s Edmonton’s oldest craft brewery which started operating back in 1995. They have been brewing since 1995 offering pale ales, IPAs and stouts among other traditional ale styles too  
Their taproom is situated within a historical warehouse and includes pinball machines, board games, and vintage style. It’s a popular hangout, so arrive early, especially on weekends.
